Mental Health: Recognizing and Treating Depression

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ 10 Aug 2026

One in five people experiences a mental health problem at some point in life.

Signs of depression:
- Persistent low mood or feelings of emptiness
- Losing interest in activities you used to enjoy
- Sleep problems (too much or too little)
- Loss of appetite or overeating
- Poor concentration and indecisiveness
- Feelings of worthlessness

What to do:
If these symptoms last more than two weeks, consult a psychiatrist. Depression is fully treatable through counselling and, when needed, medication.

Remember โ€” seeking mental health care is nothing to be ashamed of.
